Our Tech Demo will be a downloadable quick look at what we are doing, which will be updated on a regular basis. This will not include the multiverse multi-player, or most features as we finish them. Just a sample of the engine as it stands.
Current Tech Demo ToDo list:
1) Adapt the procedural engine to give what we want on the planet
2) Get a few species of trees made and procedurally added to planet.
3) Get the camera re-stabilized on a rotating planet with gravity
4) Upgrade planet size to near finish proportions
5) add a moon, or two maybe
6) Have environmental artist go crazy making weird creatures to roam around.
7) Make our rigger loose his hair rigging all of said animals
8) Throw in basic herd AI or scripting so the animals move around
9) Put in the terrain formation/deformation system
10) Change to our custom volumetric water system (and try not to crash every computer with it)

2) Connection Methodology
3) Basic solar system
4) Cross dimension connection Methodology and portal spawning (temporary till rest of the system is in)
5) Volumetric Water
6) Terrain Deformation/formation

8) First implementation of Terrain mod tools (shovel, pick, etc)
9) splat zones (terrain zones for rock, gravel, etc with textures)
10) Dynamic Weather and global weather simulation
11) Tidal Effects from Moon
12) Race selection and models
13) Updating procedural engine again with ability to seed towns
14) Tree growth
15) Grass growth
16) Inventory and health system
17) Combat system
We'll add more if we are able to hit all our current goals for getting to the new year. We "should" have most of this done by the 25th, which is alpha release.
