George grew up loving photography. My family's history on my Mothers side was involved in the "old Hollywood." My Grandmother was in the "Zigfield Follies." She was in silent and talking pictures with "Laurel and Hardy," etc. She and my Mother knew Clark Gable, Carol Lombard, Johnny Weissmuller, Danny Kaye, Ricardo Montalban, etc. In fact, my mother taught Johnny Weissmuller and Danny Kaye how to ice skate. I grew up hearing all the stories and fell in love with the romanticism of that filmmaking era. But it wasn't until I was around 14 years old when a friend introduced me to filmmaking with his 8mm camera and we made a monster movie that he edited after he got the film back from Kodak. I was hooked.
To make a long story short; after being honorably discharged from the Air Force, I attended "Brooks Institute of Photography" and majored in Cinematography. I have spent most of my adult life in and out of film making from Hollywood and independent productions to finally my own production company, thanks to the digital revolution. One of George's films.
Welcome George, glad to have you on my team. Let's get this film finished, and start the next great western "Ride the Wanted Trail" Rick Groat.
