Sat May 12 '18 Announcement from Where Eagles Dare
Hi All,
I want to say a massive THANK YOU to every single person who has donated to my film - We successfully raised £1210! I am extremely grateful for your contribution to the production and I certainly could not do it without you.
I am currently filming for a fellow students film on the beautiful Vancouver Island (She is producing a film documenting the plight of a eco-type of killer whale in massive decline) but it won't be long until I head back to the UK and finally start the main filming for WHERE EAGLES DARE. I will be on the Isle of Mull for the first three weeks of June filming and I am extremely excited to show you what I've got up to in due course.
Just to keep you updated: I have already had a few trips to Mull earlier this year and have been lucky enough to have filmed an eagle pair on their nest. I am delighted to say they now have two adorable fluffy white chicks and I am longing to see them for myself and film them - watch this space! :)
And finally, to those of you who have kindly donated for one of my perks and have the opportunity to make a choice (i.e. any prints etc), I will be in touch following my time in Scotland, at the end of June/ beginning of July.

Liebe Männer,
Wir brauchen noch Gang-Vocals auf „Scheiden tut weh“ und suchen deshalb eine Gruppe stimmgewaltiger Recken, die die Worte „Bis in alle Ewigkeit“, „Scheiden tut weh“ und „Parasitenfotze“ brüllt, um die Refrains der entsprechenden Songs aufzufetten. Wir haben deshalb den Perk „GANG-VOCAL-PARTY“ in unsere Kampagne integriert. Weil wir das Nützliche mit dem Angenehmen verbinden möchten, holen wir euch nicht nur zum Schreien ins Studio. Nach den Aufnahmen des Shout-Chors machen wir außerdem Folgendes:
- Besichtigung der in der Nähe des Tonstudios gelegenen Burg Greifenstein
- Besichtigung des dazugehörigen Glockenmuseums (dort haben SOPOR AETERNUS einige Glocken für ihre besten Alben aufgenommen!)
- Gruppenfoto vor prächtiger Kulisse zur Erinnerung
- After-Session-Party vor dem Tonstudio (Grillen, Wild aus dem Dutchoven, Bier vom Fass)
Die GANG-VOCAL-PARTY findet am Wochenende vor dem Beginn der hessischen Sommerferien (23.06.2018) oder gleich am Anfang der hessischen Sommerferien (30.06.2018) statt. Der Perk beinhaltet die Aufnahmen im Studio, den Eintritt zur Burg Greifenstein und zum Glockenmuseum, einen (natürlich signierten) Abzug des Gruppenfotos, das Grillgut und alle Getränke. NICHT im Perk enthalten sind die Anreise nach Sinn-Edingen sowie die Unterbringung. Wer vor Ort übernachten möchte, kann in einem zum Studio gehörenden Band-Apartment schlafen (zwei Schlafzimmer, einmal zwei Betten, einmal drei Betten) oder in einer der zahlreichen Pensionen in der näheren Umgebung Quartier beziehen. Wir helfen gerne bei der Vermittlung von Schlafplätzen.
Nach fast zwei Monaten Kampagnen-Arbeit habe ich das Gefühl, dass ich grob geschätzt 2.000 Partys feiern muss, um mich abzureagieren. Ich hoffe auf rege Beteiligung:

Folks with loss of hearing often can be helped through hearing aids or implants- but they aren't perfect. These machines can not isolate conversations sometimes making it difficult for the person to understand speech. When faced with this challenge Bill and Liza of Gardner Kilcoyne architects called for acoustic tile above the customer interaction area. These tiles will absorb extraneous sound, cut down on echos and help our employees with hearing difficulties.

Sun May 13 '18 Announcement from EleCa - Electric Transport Reinvented!
Mid-drive is likely to be the final selection for the EleCa prototype. There are many advantages to this design, not the least, less unsprung weight. However, there are other key advantages.
Another alternative considered was hub-motor. This would be a lower-cost solution. However, we believe not ideal. A hub-motor is great once the car started moving. In our trials, we have discovered that the direct 1:1 ratio makes a hub-motor less ideal in take-off mode from zero. In these situations, gearing is extremely important. Tesla, for example utilises 9.73:1 that is almost 10:1.
The choice of a mid-motor enables us to trial various ratios eventually selecting the right one. The balance one has to achieve is low-end torque vs top-end speed. However, in our case, being limited at 45kph, this situation of high speed should never occur.
